Enrollment & Registration

All returning students are expected to register prior to the start of the school year.  The Kohler School District offers online registration using Skyward Family Access. 

Registration fees will be paid utilizing e-Funds, a 3^rd party platform to allow families to make electronic payments for registration fees, school fees, activity fees, and lunch accounts. In order to utilize this payment option, families need to create an e-Funds account if they do not currently have one. See directions below.

Returning families who will be enrolling new students who have not attended Kohler Public Schools in the previous school year, will need to utilize the New Student Online Enrollment option in Skyward Family Access. Instructions for Enrolling a New Student in a Returning Family

New families to Kohler School District will need to complete an application for enrollment and must first request enrollment login information from the Registrar. If you are not a resident of Kohler, please see the Open Enrollment tab for enrollment information.

The open enrollment regular application period for the 2026-27 school year is from February 2-April 30, 2026. The application period closes at 4:00pm on April 30, 2026. 

Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.

Parents may apply online from the Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) open enrollment website at https://dpi.wi.gov/oe during the regular application period. Parents who complete the online application will receive a confirmation number. Once completed, online applications are automatically submitted to the appropriate school districts. 

Although the online application is recommended, parents may complete paper applications instead of applying online. A parent who chooses to complete the paper application must submit the completed application form to the school district the pupil wishes to attend (referred to as the nonresident school district) during the application period. There must be a separate application form submitted for each pupil and a separate application form submitted to each school district the pupil wishes to attend.
